Industrialising energy storage in Madagascar

BCELL Energy was born when two partners, Maxime De Plaen and Félix Bonaert, joined forces. After eighteen months of market research, they chose Madagascar and took over an existing battery assembly business, with one conviction: a country electrifying its off-grid sites and its businesses needs a local supplier, able to provide warranty cover and repairs on site.

Three years later, our workshop has produced and installed 15 MWh of batteries, with a Malagasy team trained in-house and a network of installers across the country.
